TIME T M ... A TORONTO REHAB AND TORONTO
PARKS, FORESTRY & RECREATION PARTNERSHIP
Together in Movement and Exercise (TIME™) is a program that
was designed by Physiotherapists at Toronto Rehab in 2007. The
program was developed for adults who have challenges with
balance and mobility. This successful program is now led by Fitness
Instructors in Community Centers across Canada!
Volunteers from UHN provide support in biweekly classes for the
seasonal TIME™ program at each of three associated City of
Toronto Community Centers. (Wallace Emerson, Waterfront
Neighbourhood Centre and North Toronto Memorial Community
Centers)
After receiving training from the Physiotherapists at University
Centre, the Outpatient Exercise Program Support Volunteers
foster a friendly environment through social interaction and assist
participants to exercise safely during the program.
Siobhan Giles and Irene Poon, Outpatient Exercise Support Volunteers, demonstrate one of
the movement activities that they assist participants with as part of the TIME™ program at
Wallace Emerson Community
