               University Health Network is committed to creating an

               inclusive environment that values diversity and

               encourages people to contribute their personal best.

               IDEA Services helps achieve these goals through training,

               coaching and advice, as well as through the resolution of

               conflict in accordance with the Fostering Respect in the

               Workplace Policy.






                Training                                Diversity and Mediation Services provides training
                                                        and education around issues of diversity and human
                                                        rights. Aside from opportunities to learn more in
                                                        various leadership programs and orientations, staff
                                                        can request customized sessions for intact teams.

                Consultation | Coaching                 A first meeting with Diversity and Mediation Services
                                                        is confidential. The consultation is an opportunity to
                | Referral                              consider the avenues to resolution available.


                Mediation                               The trained mediators act as neutral, third parties
                                                        to assist people in a dispute to come to a resolution
                                                        that works for all involved.

                Investigation                           Investigations may be conducted when all others
                                                        avenues of early resolution have been exhausted or
                                                        as the situation warrants, in accordance with the
                                                        UHN Conflict Resolution and Complaint Process.
