Preparedness

The following are REAL events:

• A microwave oven suddenly starts to shoot

flames in an inpatient care area.

• A letter is received saying there is a bomb

in the hospital.

• A patient’s wife with a history of wandering

and dementia is missing and last seen in the

hospital. Where is she?

• Hot water pours out of a burst pipe in the

ICU filling the unit with water and steam.
