Generating a Report

The PHS Reporting function is widely used across UHN.

·   Generating a Report from Standard Reports

·   Generating a Patient Itinerary from the Right Click Menu (on the Patient Appointment)

Generating a Report from Standard Reports

1.    Double click on Standard Reports to launch the Standard Reports window.

2.    In the Standard Reports window you can search for your report using three methods:

1     Type the first few letters of the report name in the search bar to narrow down options.

2     Use the scroll bar to browse through the report list.

3     Type words such as “Patient List”, “Patient Itinerary”, “Statistics”, or “Telehealth” to group similar reports together.

3.    From the list, click on the desired report to select it, and then click the View button.

The best practice is to select the View button when printing a report. This allows you to view the report and confirm your selections before printing.

4.    You are prompted to fill in additional fields, dependent upon the requirements of the report that you have selected.

In this example, we have selected a patient list, with the requirements of date, practitioner, and resource unit.

1     Click on the calendar icon to open the Calendar window.

2     Select your date.

3     Click OK.

5.    Enter the required information, according to the report that you select, and then click the OK button on the right. Be sure to use the PHS naming convention when entering a practitioner/resource name.

6.    The report now appears:

7.    At the top of the report, the following functionality is available:

1     Export the report into a different format such as PDF, Word, or Excel.

2     Print the report.

3     Refresh function.

4     Copy the report.

5     Find info/patient name in a long report.

6     Magnify the report.

8.    To close the report, click the x in the top right corner.
