We have designed The PSS eManual to help you quickly (and hopefully painlessly) learn how to use our electronic medical record. The eManual will also serve as your "go to" place for PSS information in the future. It was constructed in part from suggestions, as well as tips and tricks offered by present users. The PSS eManual is physician focused but contains information that all roles can leverage.
The PSS eManual is responsive, so that you may view content on your
tablet or phone.
Note: The eLearning test (for residents, resident electives, and
new staff physicians) is best done on a desktop or laptop computer.
You will learn using step-by-step instructions. (And of course, always feel free to ask for help from more experienced users.)
Learn all about the basics of PSS by following the question path on
The Quick Start Program. Click on the QS icon ,
located at the top and bottom of the right side of the page, to return
to the Quick Start Program. Note:
The QS program is designed for residents, but all roles at the Family
Health Team may find benefit from using this tool.
To print a topic, click on the Print button
in the top right corner. Only the topic currently displayed on the screen
will print.
At the top left pane of this window, you will find the Table of Contents, Index, and Search icons.
Table of Contents: Presents the topics in chapter like format
Index: Allows you to search
for topics or key words alphabetically
Search: Allows you to search
for a question or phrase
Click on a topic from the Table of Contents to navigate directly to it.
Click on the arrows
in the top right corner to go forward
and backward through the topics.
To quickly navigate between PSS and the PSS eManual, hold the Alt key down and then repeatedly select the Tab key on your keyboard to toggle between all of the open applications on your desktop.
*The PSS eManual was created for the Toronto Western Family Health Team at University Health Network by Digital Education, using fictitious patients in a fictitious training environment.
Digital Education does its best in providing current information regarding PSS. Should you see any discrepancies or have questions regarding any of the content found on this eManual please contact us at digitalEducation@uhn.ca
