Entering Immunizations

Immunizations are documented in PSS as a New Treatment.

1.    Access the New Treatment option by either:

·        Use the shortcut CTRL + J or

·        Go to the Menu Bar, Click Data and then New Treatment

The New Treatment screen for your patient will appear:

2.    In the Name field, type the immunization name and click the tab key.

3.    A list of options will appear.

4.    Please pick the most accurate immunization name from the list. Notice that the Route is an injection,
as displayed in the header.

In general, the brand name of the immunization is preferred because if there is a recall, we can contact the patient.

5.    In the bottom right corner, select the Choose button

6.    Document the administration site, the lot number and the expiry date

7.    Click Perform Immunization.

The chart and Cumulative Patient Profile (CPP) will now be populated with the immunization
