General Limited Use Code Information

·         For patients with ODB or Trillium coverage, select medications require a Limited Use (LU) code, in order for the Ontario government to fund the medication

·         The LU code outlines the specific criteria that a patient needs to meet, in order for medication coverage

A Limited Use Medication Example

·          PSS identifies medications which are eligible for an LU coverage

·         The Limited Use Codes prompt can be found at the bottom of the prescribing window 

1.    Click on the Limited Use Codes link.

2.    Select the desired code from the Limited Use Code Selection screen that appears

3.    The LU code will automatically populate for you
