Copying and Pasting Emails and Documents

All communications with the patient should be documented in PSS. Email exchanges should
be documented in PSS through the copy & paste functionality.

1.    From the document that you are copying from, select the entire content that you want to copy,
then right click and select copy or CTRL + C.



2.    Locate the chart in PSS and start a new note (CTRL + N)



3.    Paste your copied information on the new note.

 

4.    Update the type of the correspondence/document in the patient’s chart.
Right-click on the date of the note and select Change Note Category from the menu.

 

5.     Select the appropriate option.  In this example Email Exchange is used.
 Click on the right-click arrow to place the category under Report Categories
 and then click OK.
