Patient Dashboard Overview

 

Located under the Patient Care tab, the Patient Dashboard provides you with a quick snapshot of important patient information.

 

Alerts will be indicated for Closed Discharged visits, Closed Cancelled visits, Discharged visits and Deceased patients. These alerts will appear directly above the row of icons on the Patient Desktop.

As of April 10th, 2014 new icons were developed based on the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) graphic symbols.

 

Note: This list does not include ALL icons as new ones are continuously added. In EPR, each icon will have a helpful description beside it (as pictured above), to explain what it means.

Details – includes allergens and symptoms.  Note: Free-text allergens are identified with an asterisk or yellow highlight on Patient Dashboard.  EPR cannot evaluate free-text allergens/adverse reactions for potential interactions; therefore, the appropriate alerts will not appear if ordered for patient.  There is no impact on interaction checks or order entry alerts.

No Known Allergies

Indicates patient has been assessed at current admission/visit with "No Known" allergies.

Header – Supplementary icon with greyed and crossed out A.

 

Details – allergies are documented as "No Known".

Flags prohibited/restricted medication for this patient.

Blood Bank Sample Expiry

Overdue Blood bank sample

Indicates there is an overdue "Blood Bank Sample” with either a past due date of more than 24 hours or, with no expiry date at all.

Indicates patient’s language preference to be something other than English when receiving care.

Details – indicates height and weight have not been documented for visit. If height is not documented on visit, the message “Unable to calculate, missing height and/or measured weight” appears.  Note: similar to allergies, historical weight records will be visible for information.

Warning to Behaviour Safety Alerts.

Braden Risk of Pressure Ulcer

BSRA warning

Warning that patient has risk on the Braden Scale Risk Assessment.

Details – includes the Braden Scale Risk Assessment score (with a total score between 13 and 14) and the statement “moderate risk of developing pressure ulcers".

High risk on BRSA

Flags patient to be high risk on the Braden Scale Risk Assessment.
